Another Week Gone By
Despite my best intentions it seems that my blogging has become a weekly endeavor instead of daily. Not a very good journal but better than nothing I suppose. I haven't decided if I should do many posts about all of the adventures this week or one long one but I'll start with my epiphany last night. I finally realized that all of the commotion recently has affected my boys more than I thought. They seemed to settle into the new routine smoothly, during their waking hours at least. Night time was a different story, they started having nightmares and other signs of stress that they didn't talk about during the day time. In isolated incidents it seemed like no big deal, it wasn't until last night that I realized there seemed to be ALOT of incidents recently, pretty much the last 2 weeks. DUH!!! I wanted to smack myself on the head with a huge Homer Simpson DOH! how could I have missed those signs! My only defense is that I have been so busy getting us settled into the house myself but since my family should and does come first, it really is no excuse at all. Anyway I decided that we needed a family outing, soon. Huge credit goes to my wonderful husband who took time off work and researched something we could do as a family! He is the best husband in the world!!! We talked to the boys today and they are so excited!!! I can't wait! Stay tuned for more details! Now it's my job to pay more attention to the big picture and not just what is in front of my face right then.

Jake's baptism

My oldest was baptized on Saturday. We are so proud of the decision he has made. Doesn't he look so handsome in his new suit, thank you Nana. I was so busy getting everyone ready that I forgot to grab the camera or camcorder so this is the only picture I have. The whole way to the church Ryan sang "Get me to the Church on Time", we almost didn't. We had the family over afterward for some BBQ and goodies. It was awesome to hang out with so many of the people we love so much.

Our Christmas Picture
So... We were asked this year if we were doing a Family picture. I decided that since we didn't do one last year we should probably do one this year. We decided it would be more economical to do it at home. So we did. We had Luke come over and take our picture in our front room. Ryan has no patience and taking family pictures with 4 little boys is no small undertaking. We took many pictures and finally settled on the one I have now placed behind our blog title. I think it turned out pretty well, I only had to crop out one dog and he at least wasn't blocking anyone like Jazzmin was in some of them. Sometimes I think if they put a camera in our walls, we could be a sitcom with all of the off the wall and downright hysterical stuff that these boys do.

Our Dune trip
So, we went to the dunes with Ryan's brother and family and some of their friends. I knew it would be fun but I didn't realize it would be that much fun. Thursday Jake was in my bed at 5, completely dressed and ready to load the trailer. On Friday AJ woke up at 6 on Friday and kept repeating Allie, Rhino, dunes. The worst was on Saturday when he woke up at home, he went to sleep at the dunes and woke up at home. He was very mad and kept saying dunes go back! The boys had a blast and didn't stop all day. If you know my boys that isn't anything new. It was nice for them to have plenty of room and dirt and stuff to do all day. I had to make them stop to eat lunch and dinner. They were so tired they, even AJ slept all night and never even turned over. It was nice to hang out and enjoy each other and just have fun. I felt bad for AJ though, he is too little to ride the quads but he wants so badly to do everything his brothers do. It was alot of fun and I can see why people get so into it.
